A Study on the Impact of Job Satisfaction on Job Performance of Employees Working in Automobile Industry in Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu

Abstract :
This study examines how job satisfaction affects employee performance in automobile manufacturing companies in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Data was collected from 80 employees across production, quality control, maintenance, and administrative departments using structured questionnaires and performance records. Research indicates that job satisfaction is strongly linked to performance, as evidenced by a correlation of r = 0.64.Work environment satisfaction had the strongest impact on performance (r = 0.68), while compensation and career advancement showed the lowest satisfaction scores. The findings provide practical insights for improving both employee satisfaction and organizational performance in the automotive sector.
