Abstract :
The increasing adoption of digital technologies has transformed the workplace, making digital work behaviour an essential competency for employees in the Information Technology (IT) industry. Human resource (HR) practices play a significant role in facilitating employees' adaptation to digital work environments by enhancing their skills, motivation, and engagement. The present study aims to examine the impact of HR practices on digital work behaviour among employees in the IT industry. A quantitative descriptive research design was adopted, and primary data were collected from 250 employees using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS, employing reliability analysis and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that HR practices have a significant positive impact on digital work behaviour (R = 0.712, R² = 0.507, F = 50.84, p < .001), explaining 50.7% of the variance in employees' digital work behaviour. Among the predictor variables, training emerged as the strongest determinant, followed by performance management, leadership support, digital communication, and rewards, all of which exhibited statistically significant positive effects. The study concludes that integrated HR practices are instrumental in fostering employees' digital competencies, adaptability, and collaboration, thereby supporting successful digital transformation initiatives. The findings provide valuable insights for HR professionals and IT organizations in designing strategic HR interventions that enhance digital work behaviour and strengthen organizational competitiveness in an increasingly digital business environment.
