Author : B. Kalpana and Dr. MD Chinnu

Abstract :

Labour market dynamics describe the continuous movement and flows of workers and jobs moving beyond static snapshots to understand how labour markets function and evolve over time. Key aspects include job creation and, worker transitions between employment, unemployment, and inactivity, and the resulting wage and productivity changes. Analyzing these dynamics provides crucial insights for economic policy, social welfare, and individual career progression. The market adjusts when demand for workers rises or falls. Labour mobility shows how easily workers move between jobs or regions. Government policies, such as minimum wage or training programs, play a role. Understanding these changes is important for planning and policy making. Overall, labour market dynamics show the continuous flow and adjustment of work and workers.
