Abstract :
Nepotism, the practice of favouring relatives or close associates in the workplace, has long been a topic of debate in organizational studies. While it may provide advantages for those favoured, it can have profound psychological consequences on other employees. This paper explores the psychological impact of nepotism, including its effects on employee motivation, job satisfaction, workplace morale, and organizational commitment. It also examines potential coping mechanisms and organizational strategies to mitigate these negative effects.
