Clinical Importance of Yogasana in Pregnancy–A Review

Abstract :

Asana is an indispensable part of Yoga, which acts on the body and mind. Asana is the first step of hatha yoga, which helps to improve flexibility and control of the body, and also enhances the quality of life. Modern medical science has recognised the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relationship benefits of hatha yoga. Regular practice of Swastikasana and a few other asanas eliminates the risk of breast cancer. In pregnancy, the most commonly faced complications are anxiety, depression, fatigue, lower limb cramps, pedal oedema and low back pain. Yogasana reduced the aforesaid symptom without the use of drugs.
