Social Media Marketing of T-Shirts–A Case Study of the City of Bhubaneswar

Abstract :

Social media marketing in simple terms refers to marketing done via social media by start-ups and companies to market their products so that they can connect with the consumers and sell heavy quantities of the said product which leads to an increase in their profits. The Reviews did not mention anything about social media marketing influencing consumer choices with regard to t-shirts in the city of Bhubaneswar. The reviews also fail to provide explanation regarding which social media platform is used most for marketing of t-shirts and which firms or start-ups are most successful in this venture. So, I have attempted to study if social media marketing influences consumer choices regarding t-shirts in the city of Bhubaneswar. I have also attempted to find out and explain which social media platform is most used for marketing of t-shirts and which firm or start-up has been most successful in this venture. I have found out that Flipkart and Bewakoof have been the most successful regarding this. Flipkart is known for its social media marketing which in itself has a huge fan base, while Bewakoof is a D2C start-up known most for targeting customers based on their needs and the selling of a huge quantity of printed t-shirts.
