Progress and Challenges in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals: A Case Study of Mizoram

Abstract :
The study examines the progress, innovative strategies, and persistent challenges faced by Mizoram in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since the inception of SDG engagement in 2016, Mizoram has demonstrated significant advancements, including a notable rise in SDG India Index rankings, implementation of localized indicator frameworks, and innovative community engagement programs. Despite these achievements, certain areas require targeted interventions to sustain progress. By analyzing the multi-faceted approach of Mizoram, including its indicator development, grassroots localization, and public-private partnerships, the study provides insights for policymakers and stakeholders committed to sustainable development.
