Women Empowerment: Need of an Hour or a Myth

Abstract :
India the diverse country where the women has faced many inequalities and to overcome that various steps were taken by the our framers to protect women and to Uphold their rights, but the question is Whether women are using this right to protect themselves our exploiting these laws for there own benefits or to complete their personal agendas. Even though it is critical to recognize the prevalence of actual occurrences of gender-based violence and discrimination, there have been occasions in which these laws have been abused for any personal gain, or family feud resolution. The abuse of laws pertaining to women has far-reaching effects. Men and their families have experienced false accusations against them, legal retaliation, social humiliation, and financial hardship. The laws which were made to uplift one section of society is now being used to oppress other section of society under the shield empowerment.
