Conceptual Review of Vagbhatokta Haridradi Gana: Exploring its Various Kalpanas Already Used in Different Diseases

Abstract :

Ayurveda, in its entirety, is defined as the science of life. It represents a qualitative and holistic approach to health and the prolongation of life. Bhaishajya Kalpana refers to the scientific principles governing the processing of medicines, involving the necessary transformations or modifications that convert a substance into its medicinal form. In the Ashtanga Hridaya Sutrasthana, Acharya Vagbhata discusses the Haridradi Gana within the chapter titled “Shodhanadi Gana Sangraha.” He advocates for the application of this Gana in various preparations, such as Kalka, Kwath, Tail, and Avaleha, tailored to the dosha-dushya sammurchana of specific ailments. So in this article we are going to do a conceptual review of Vagbhatokta Haridradi Gana W.S.R to its different kalpanas already used in various diseases.
