‘Love and Ego’ is one of the most popular novels written by Professor Vikas Sharma; and the novel deals with Vikas Sharma’s treatment of war, love and marriage. Like George Bernard Shaw, Professor Vikas Sharma hates the war which largely culminates in death, destruction and all kinds of evil; and social diseases as poverty, ignorance, starvation, unemployment, prostitutions and so on. In the novel ‘Love and Ego’, Professor Vikas Sharma reveals his real feelings of hatred and hostility towards the war and he pours his poignant criticism war makers as well as weapon dealers who encourage the people to start a war so that they gain their personal interests. Through the novel the novelist has made one more effort to assert the importance of world civilization and non-violence and he wants to give the message to everyone to restrain pride and ego that is harmful. The war is continuing between Russia and Ukraine; and Russia announces every day that the bomb will be dropped upon Ukraine, Romania, Poland and even the NATO Nations. The novelist still hopes that world peace will be restored soon as a lot of people have already lost their homes and their loved ones.
