Assemblage of Sustainability and Business for Post Pandemic Economic Recovery

Abstract :
The COVID-19 epidemic will alter the way that prosperous companies develop and function for all time. There are new and fundamental challenges to the legitimacy of large commercial enterprises and the leaders of these organisations. A new paradigm for business leadership is desperately needed, one that places a high premium on the world's resilience and long-term sustainability. Businesses that can meet the demands of as many people as possible, use as little resources as feasible, and interact with and respond to as many stakeholders as possible will be successful both now and in the future. Not only is this the morally correct thing to do, but it's also a wise one. In a world where there is poverty, inequality, unrest, and environmental stress, business just cannot survive. It is the need of the hour to merge sustainability along with business not only from business point but also on humanitarian group, to combat the paralysing influences of COVID-19. The discourse surrounding sustainable business practises has become increasingly vocal in recent times. But in practise, this hasn't always equated to action. There is a regrettable disconnect between rhetoric and reality these days. A study conducted by the United Nations Global Compact reveals that although 92% of CEOs think that integrating sustainability will be critical to their companies' success in the future, just 48% of them say they are now doing so. The chapter titled ‘Assemblage of sustainability and business for post pandemic economic recovery’ is an attempt to highlight the ill effects of COVID-19 and the significance of sustainability in business for post pandemic economic recovery. The paper also attempts to present various methods/models to achieve sustainability in business which will outstretch the reach of influence on the global economy.
