Effects of Terminalia chebula (Haritaki) on the Pupation Site Preference (PSP) of the Drosophila melanogaster

Abstract :
Terminalia chebula is one of the widely used Herbal product to know it’s effect on pupation site preference in Drosophila melanogaster we have done this research, according to our studies we found that in wheat cream agar media more pupa were found in neck of the culture, average on media and less in the wall of the culture bottle, whereas in 250mg Terminalia chebula media we found that more pupa were for formed on wall of the culture bottle, average in media and very less on neck of the bottle and further in 300 mg Terminalia chebula media we found that the pupa were found more on media, average on wall of the culture bottle and very less on the neck of bottle, thus our study state that with increase in Terminalia chebula concentration the pupation site preference of pupa of Drosophila melanogaster was altered.
