Research design is a critical aspect of the research process, influencing the validity and reliability of study results. A research is valid when a conclusion is accurate or true. Research design is the framework of research methods and techniques to conduct a study. Research design means “drawing an outline” or planning details. A researcher for his/her research, prepare an action plan, it constitutes the outline of collection, measurement and analysis of data. The design allows researchers to sharpen the research methods suitable for the subject matter and set up their studies for success. A research design that produces the slightest margin of error in experimental research is generally considered the desired outcome. Successful research studies provide insights that are accurate and unbiased. It is the method of building decisions before a situation arises in which the decision has to be carried out. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of research design, including its definition, types, and key considerations in selecting an appropriate design for a study.
