Abstract :
Nonrelativistic N shell (σnrelN) and N σnrelNi (i = 1,..,7) subshells ionization cross sections by electron impact on 92U, 93Np, 94Pu, 95Am, 96Cm, 97Bk atoms calculated. By using Lotz' equation in Matlab(σnrelN) and N σnrelNi cross section values obtained for 14 electron impact(E0) values in the range of ENi<E0<7ENi for each atom. Starting from E0=ENi(subshell ionization threshold energies), σnrelN and σnrelN are increasing rapidly with E0. For about fixed (E0 =3,33 to 3,45keV), while Z value increases from 92U ≤ Z ≤ 97Bk atoms; σnrelN and σnrelNi decrease. Results show that for smaller values of E0(close to ENi), x-ray yields formation of Ni (i =1,…,7) subshells decreases while competing other yields are increase. Results may help to understand similar findings which obtained from other electron impact excitation of N σnrel N, subshells σnrelNi studies for single atoms.
