A Study on Impact of Risk and Return Analysis Using Portfolio Performance Techniques

Abstract :
Because it offers investors more viable alternatives, the mutual fund business in India has been reacting quickly to the country's financial market in the last decade. We want to examine the growth of the Indian mutual fund industry, how it has affected the risk-return relationship of specific Indian mutual fund schemes, and how these two factors are related. And to compare select Mutual fund Schemes Using Portfolio Performance Tools. The data of Mutual Funds Scheme’s collected for 5 years range are analysed using statistical tools and along with Beta, Sharpe's and Treynor Indices. The 15 Mutual Funds schemes are selected from each investment domain namely; 5 schemes of each Growth, Dividend & Hybrid schemes. All of the mutual fund schemes that were considered had better average returns throughout the specified time frame. Equity and debt mutual fund schemes, with the exception of a few hybrids, also had better Net Asset Values (NAVs).
