Abstract :

The current research work focusing on study of rhizosphere soil fungi from pomegranates (Punica granatum L.) from Ranzani goan of Madha tahsil of Solapur district, Maharashtra. The serial dilution method and Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium were used to isolate soil fungi. Soil fungi were identified based on their morphological characters. Throughout the study, a total of 12 fungal genera and 16 fungal species were recorded. The contribution of Deuteromycotina was 43.75% followed by Zygomycotina 25%, Ascomycotina 18.75%, Basidiomycotina and Mastigomycotina 6.66%. During study fungal species in which Rhiziopus sp., Mucor sp., Aspergillus sp., Altenaria sp. are observed predominantly, while Phythium sp., Fusarium sp., Rhizoctonia sp., Cladosporium sp., Penicillium sp., Curvalaria sp., Trichoderma sp., Chaetomella sp. were less observed.
