The modernization of Indian higher education has sparked a knowledge revolution, with libraries and information networks playing a vital role in meeting academic information needs. This paper aims to elaborate on the impact of INFLIBNET (Information and Library Network) in Indian higher education. Established in 1991, INFLIBNET serves as the national network for Indian university libraries, leveraging technology to facilitate knowledge access, academic communication, and ICT infrastructure development. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the paper begins with an overview of the Indian higher education system, highlighting its growth and significance in shaping the nation's intellectual capital. It then delves into the landscape of library and information networks, showcasing their pivotal role in supporting the dissemination of knowledge and research.
