Abstract:
One of the worst pandemics in human history is the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire planet shook under the sudden plague of COVID-19, a devastating sickness brought on by (SARS-Cov-2). It has put human adaptability to the ultimate test. But the unbreakable human spirit has resisted. India is the second-most populous nation on earth. India was exposed to a lot of hazards because of its proximity to China, where the virus first appeared and spread from. Globally, the educational system was severely disrupted by the spread of COVID-19. One of the realistic options for sustaining academic engagement in such a situation was digital education. Digital education, which uses digital technologies, virtual platforms, and online learning. In India, Universities, colleges, and other educational institutions still employ conventional teaching approaches and adhere to the long-established classroom environment where communication and lectures through physical mode are encouraged the most. But, the COVID-19 situation put the entire education system under pressure and prompted instructors to immediately switch to an online form. This research paper offers a detailed description about digital initiatives commenced by Indian government in response to Covid-19 crisis. Additionally, it also illustrates the positive and negative influences of digital education.
